SV Registration

As a Student Volunteer (SV), you will be required to work 6-8 hours at the conference. Your responsibilities will include setting up locations, managing sessions and food services, staffing the registration desk, providing tech support, and handling other minor organisational tasks.

In return for your efforts, you will receive a free ticket to the conference and enjoy a special SV Dinner on the final day of the event. Please note that while the SV deal includes attending the conference, SVs are responsible for their own travel, hotel, and food arrangements.

This is an excellent opportunity to network and share your ideas with leading fabrication and graphics researchers. We look forward to your participation!

Transportation

Getting to Aarhus - By train

Depending on your departure, trains to Aarhus typically arrive from Germany, passing Hamburg and Flensburg; or from Sweden through Copenhagen.

You can book trains through DSB, which will arrive in Aarhus central station. The station is located in the city centre, from where you can take public transportation or reach most hotels and key locations by foot.

Getting to Aarhus - By plane

There are two major airports close to Aarhus, Aarhus Tirstrup (AAR) and Billund (BLL).

From AAR there are buses to the city center which also stop at the university. The bus 925X leaves in front of the airport entrance and is timed with arriving flights.

From BLL the bus 912X runs to Aarhus city centre approximately every hour on weekdays (schedule).

Getting to Aarhus - Arriving from Copenhagen

From Copenhagen and Copenhagen Airport you can either take the train (ca. 3h) or the bus (optionally going on a ferry, ca. 3,5h).

Trains can be booked through DSB and buses through Kombardo Express (with ferry) or Flixbus (without ferry).

Public Transport

In Aarhus, you can use the city buses and the light rail, Letbanen. Please note that you must always buy your ticket before travelling. You can do this online via Midttrafik's webshop or App in the App Store or Google Play. It is not possible to buy a ticket on the bus or the Light Rail. You can use single trip tickets or 24h, 48h or 72h tickets.

Aarhus University is further easily reachable from the city centre by foot, as the conference location is in walking distance. You can take a walk through the university campus and enjoy the university park.

There are bike-sharing possibilities in the city, through Donkey Republic. You need the mobile application and an account to book a bike. The voi E-Scooters can be rented through the voi application, and carsharing can be booked through the Green Mobility application.
